June is here?

I'm surprised every time a new month comes up. It's like I keep thinking I'll wake up and it will be mid-March and I'll be saying "I just had the craziest dream that seemed to go on forever." It's not a dream, it's all real and we are all working hard to support each other through the virus and, more recently, the #blacklivesmatter rallying. June is here, and I continue to create work for a season that is coming into focus slowly... my stockists are cautiously opening and I just heard that non-food vendors are allowed to be at Markets again! So watch for me out there - I'm making inquiries to get involved. The Mother's Day giveaway and MAYDAY...

Spring and Summer in these altered times...

COVID-19... things have shifted from the usual seasonal flow. What started out as days of "wait and see" quickly evolved into weeks and months, and we are all in this together which makes it somehow even weirder. Such a massive collective tilt! My studio work flow is still evolving in this new and ever-changing situation, and it is still tentative. The work is flowing, just slower; it's harder to focus and lose myself in the work.  My usual busy festival and market season is either cancelled or up in the air, so I'm going to be shifting my selling groove here, to my website which I confess, I chronically underuse.  Get ready for a shop update on April 10th, and another a...

It's a new year!

Let the re-stocking begin! This time of year is a blend of trying new things and re-stocking the supply shelves. Deadlines feel a long way off, so getting a toe in now makes me feel super prepared.  It's also a great time to do on-demand making, so if there's something you want that you don't see here, contact me and I'll add it to the make list. I've got a few of those already in process. Locals can find me on February 15th at Taghum Community Hall. They have a fair every month, and that's the next one I'll be at! All the best to you and your's as we ring in the new year!

Bling-free! Christmas is in December, and so are the fairs I'm vending at!

Remember that time I broke my elbow? Yes, about a year and a half ago I turned my ankle and went down in the worst possible way, the resulting in some new bling... which just got removed last week. I'm now bling-free! Needless to say, the studio has been weirdly quiet for this time of year. The recovery has been fast, so I'm back in the saddle this weekend, but in the meantime I stepped back from any November fairs. There are two in December though, and I'm really looking forward to them! The Taghum Hall has started a monthly market, and I'll be at the December 7th one. I'll also be back at the West Kootenay Eco Society Christmas...

September means Fall Fair!

Kaslo Jazz Fest was amazing from beginning to end, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to sling my wares at that event. It's so well run, so fun, so relaxed and seeing new and returning ceramic enthusiasts is a total blast after spending all that solo making time in the studio. I'm heading to Silverton in the Slocan Valley for the annual Garlic Fest on Sunday September 8th. This is a one-day blitz of all things fall fair! I'm currently in the studio in a flurry of MAKE for this festival, so get ready for some freshies - rainbow mugs! Hope everyone is having an awesome summer season! See you out there.  Eva
